• Welcome to Sumn Different. My name is Scott Arcell Simmons, but most people call me Tux...short for Tuxedo. Long story short, my Grandfather owned and operated Tuxedo Barbershop for over 50 years and I have kept the name alive.     
• Sumn Different is just that...Sumn Different. Black on Black Time is the highlight of the brand. We're bringing a heightened awareness to the value of the time we spend together. Holidays, birthdays, vacations and just coming over for a visit. Reflecting on the past and laughing at the similarities in how we grew up. Celebrating the memories and accomplishments of our people. As we continue building for a better tomorrow, we're Honoring Black Culture & Unity. We are the foundation of life and have a rich history to be proud of and our legacy continues to live. 
• I'm establishing a "Sumn Different" scholarship fund to give financial assistance to students that will be attending an HBCU. Part of the proceeds from every sale will be added to the fund. I'm a Howard Dad. My daughter Alexsis, graduated from Howard University. H-Uuuuu, Youuuu knooow! 
• I am always involved with helping the community. As a member of the Buffalo Soldiers Motorcycle Club we do community service from coast to coast. We provide scholarships for graduating seniors and also donate funding to some of our HBCU's.

Here's the boring stuff about me, if you're interested. 

I’ve been in the apparel decorating business on and off since 1990. I had a line of t-shirts in Target stores nationwide. Self-Esteem Wear. A few positive slogans about believing in yourself. They also had a Kente Cloth design down the side. And small cards with Black History facts were attached to them.

I have several other lines of apparel as well...Buffalo Soldiers Gear and Black Gear to Hear. I've been selling shirts, hoodies, hats and other apparel nationwide (and some international) for over 30 years now.
